I last heard from the merchant one month ago, but the merchant is now unreachable. I have no idea when this replacement part will arrive. My emails have gone unanswered. I would like a credit so that I can buy a toilet from another merchant. AmEx denied my dispute. So, I'm out $770 and I am in possession of a broken toilet. This is pretty basic dispute stuff. There's no reason for this to be denied. I have all of the documentation to prove it.
Your dispute is with the supplier. After 4 months you may be over the Amex time limit.
If the plumbing supplier near your hometown why put the item in your car and visit them?
