Same here. It happened on my PEK-SFO flight, but PEK airport did the same procedure as normal. Nothing extra in terms of screening.
I got SSSS for my PVG-SFO flight last week. PVG did not perform any special check at all but the SFO CBP officer did spend several minutes on her computer before she stamped my passport.
