The front desk clerk would be wrong to call you asking for you to open the door, but it might be understandable if it's the fastest, easiest or only way to open the door.
There is no excuse, period, for waking up a guest at 1:30am to open a door for someone else.
But we don't know for sure if it was the front desk or the drunk neighbor calling.
