KL to acquire 777-300ERs?

According to an Seattle Times interview with Steven Udvar-Hazy of ILFC, the airplace lessor, KL, CX, SQ and VS are talking with Boeing and ILFC about acquiring 777-300ERs.

The fit with KL's fleet should be good since KL has GE-powered 777-200ERs and so does new stablemate AF which is a major GE-powered -200ER and 1st -300ER operator. I could see it as a step towards KL replacing 747s.

Probably won't make for better cabins however.
