Skytrax's award is based on the product and service, not the frequent flyer program (as Freddie).
While Continental does not have the best reward program, I think its service is still better than most other US carriers. AA does have better leg room in coach, but it also has the infamous bistro bag. I found CO flights attendants try harder compared to Delta, Northwest and United.
