The facts that my friend can used her (company) IHG reward GOLD status to book the room on their global site for the same hotel. How so. I thought that you can only be honour with the special rate if the hotel is IHG BRANDED HOTEL. Am I correct???? I don't like the fact that they don't know what they are doing and seem to put me down like I am "stupid" customer. They don't even attempt to see my perspective as a customer. It's like I can say whatever I want and you can say whatever you want. My wife tried to search for another hotel and found exact same one (name Marlie Sky Court) on Aqua Hotels & Resort website. Guess what? she was able to book it with our Aqua advantage status. How weir?? I find it unacceptable that IHG agent doesn't even care to look into the situation. I can accept it if they deny my claim with a ligitimate reason.
On a side note, if you have no status and are booking a room that gives you Gold status with a corporate rate that is pretty cool! ^
