Had to visit our store in Lytham on Friday and as we were both off for the weekend we decided to stay for a couple of days.

Booked a regular room on the sale rate which included breakfast (was the cheapest available). Upgraded a few days before to a king room however when OLCI opened on Thursday 731 was showing as an option which is a double plus.

This room is identical to the room I was in back in December but facing north.

There was a letter in the room advising that I was the guest of the day on "Your first visit to the hotel". To be fair it was my first visit this year although in total I'm well on my way to the half century of visits. Nevertheless the complimentary bottle of red made up for any confusion ^

Breakfast both mornings was good with a decent choice. It's not the best Hilton breakfast I've had but definitely not the worst. A tip for staying here though is to go as early as possible as the later it gets the more it resembles feeding time at Blackpool Zoo.

Didn't eat in the restaurant however they now appear to be doing an offer where you can pick up a voucher at reception which gets you about £5 off the set meal/carvery price. We did order some room service on Saturday though and the steak baguette was really nice.

The lift replacement is continuing. One has been done so far and the middle one is currently being done.

I've attached a couple of pictures of the view to the opposite side. Can't recommend the x30 and x31 rooms enough tbh as they offer great views and have two windows unlike the others which only have one - although they only have double beds.

In other news the Hampton Blackpool has now been signed off and will be happening which will add another option here.
