You are not overreacting at all!
The privacy doors are meant to be shut at night and if the drunk couple didn't know how to use their key card or if the door was malfunctioning it is in no way your problem.

I would have hung up the phone and gone back to bed and made it a much bigger deal the next morning.
It's totally unacceptable for the front desk to call you at 1:30am for such a stupid issue and even more unacceptable for them to demand you open the door. They could have sent a bellman with a functioning key.
