Eastbay1K: I've don't think I've ever had this problem. I always upgrade at the same time I make my reservation (well, my travel agent does). I was just commenting on the conflicting information we seem to be getting from different AS agents. I would try to use the internet checkin tomorrow when I leave here (Napa) tomorrow for SEA, but I don't have a printer, so I'll have to do it on my upcoming Phoenix trip.
