Wrapping up my stay and I would say the best word to describe it was "underwhelming". There were the issues I stated above that were certainly dings against the hotel. The plus side is the incredibly caring staff in the Club Lounge that have bent over backwards to make sure that I was taken care of, that my issues were resolved and if there was anything else they could do for me. I had to go print out a few documents to work on during my flight and one of the Concierge staff asked how I was getting to the airport. When I said I would just take a taxi and if she could reserve one for, she came back and said that they would comp my transfer back to the airport. Unexpected and certainly not necessary. The line staff seemed to go above and beyond like this for me so they are the "plus".

That being said, I found the resort to be very average. Now, I admit that I was totally blown away by the Conrad Maldives so I had a pretty high set bar for this visit. Maybe it's just Indonesia, but I found the physical resort to be pretty average - not what I would put in the Conrad or WA class. It is basically a solid Hilton resort. While the grounds were/are very well groomed, seems like lots of deferred maintenance (cracked tiles on patio, stained contract near the lagoon walls, chunks of the underside of the lagoon bridges missing). There were also some housekeeping issues (really grossed out when I lifted up the bathroom scale with all the hair and grit).

So, in a nutshell - would I return to Bali? Maybe - but not in Nusa Dua. I would rather go to Koh Samui. Would I stay at this resort again - no. I think there are too many other options in Bali and this one just isn't worth it.
