Can someone explain what the procedures are for connecting to AI983 in BOM? Do I go back to the check-in area or is there a separate corridor for DOM-INTL passengers?

Last, any comments about AI's AVML meals in Y? I'd be shocked if the meal is anything other than an Indian cuisine, but any other comments?
