Hi Everyone,

I want to ask about the upgrade procedure on AS. I am planning to fly to both Seattle and PDX from SNA in March and April (for the Boeing 737-700 flights). I am going to buy the ticket through its web.

I know that you can upgrade on AS with any published fare 24 hours before flight departure. I know it will cost about $40-80... Do I call AS ahead (like UAL) and ask to be put on the upgrade list? or do I simply call AS 24 hours before my flight and ask if I can upgrade to F class?

I am possibly flying out on Saturday noon or around 5pm northbound, and returning on Sunday around 11am and noon back to SNA. What is my chances for an upgrade?

Any help will be appreciated!

BTW, I believe AS is a good and safe airline, and will not think twice about flying it.
