Same here. I do the organising and choosing of hotels etc. When we check in he stands back and i do.it but it's because he usually doesn't have his glasses. I think they do want to defer to him but I'm up centre front so they have no choice. At restaurants he gets the bill but hands it over to me again as no glasses and i usually carry "our" money.
Handling the bill at restaurants often irritates DW. We both understand why servers usually leave the bill with the man of a man-woman pair. But when DW signals for the bill as it arrives and the server gives it to me, that steams her. And if, after she's given her credit card, the server returns with the register receipt and hands it to me to sign, that really steams her!
