Ask the hotel staff about a "warung" (restaurant stall) within walking distance of the hotel. It is owned and operated by one of the Suku chefs. It is near the housing where many of the hotel staff live and they often frequent this warung. I've tried it and it is cheap and good - about $1 per person.
