As I understand sticker upgrades are prioritized by status, then by date/time the upgrade was requested - is there anything I can do to request the sticker upgrade now, or do I need to wait until March 1st? If the upgrade list makes it down to PLTs - would my request date show as the date my reservation was ticketed (when the UDU was requested automatically) or the date I request the sticker upgrades on March 1?
Don't count yourself out yet. There have been reports of flights booked before a status change kept the original status and had to be refreshed by an AAgent.
As for 500-mile upgrades, they can not and should not be done before the defined windows. Technically your original request occurred at time of ticketing (automatically by virtue of being EXP) and this should hold true even after your status change. Watch your rez after March 1 and if the request is dropped call AA to get it reinstated as of your ticketing date.
