Simply because AA has removed most of their Airfone equipment. It would probably be a huge expense for them to reinstall it. They took it out after 9/11 when the prices were jacked up on it and nobody used it. United, etc, did not.

Hopefully, AA will jump back in and get Conexxion going someday.
