If it's a hotel, I think you will be forced to use the ski valet. If you are in a condo, you might get away with skis in your condo.



I don't know if that case will work with another case around your skis. I have the sportube for a single pair, and for 2 pair. The single pair is easy to use the double pair, I have to pack differently, and I couldn't put those skis in a normal ski bag and then in the case. I do wrap them in plastic sheeting before I pack them though.
