Given what you've already said, I'm not sure it would be helpful either, since there would be quite some distance between you and the children. Though you may want to reflect on whether a 2 passenger upgrade would be helpful or not. It probably won't happen, it will be singles and couples more likely to benefit, but at least you can give the right answer if asked.
