Adam, I am in Rio and always pay in US dollars on the BA site. I use my UK cards to avoid IOF but do pay an overseas fee on my UK card of 2.99 percent. BA will charge a fee if you call the UK and ask to be billed in GBP. What you have to decide is whether this fee is more or less than the overseas transaction fee to you UK credit or debit card.
