I just don't get this. If I can get in on a mistake fare, I'm all for it. But if the airline/hotel/whatever cancels it (immediately, mind you), I'm not going to sue them.
It's not like you booked a flight for 8 months out, then 6 months later the airline cancelled it.
I suspect it is far more than 249 people, ten to a hundred times more...the article likely refers to people who approached that particular law firm. I know a couple people who purchased the pass, but have not yet contacted a law firm about it. AC might have considering honouring passes if they valued them at $2 Million-but in this case I think ACs response was inevitable. The litigation may reveal the actual number of passes sold.
