I believe this information is not accurate, i ended up booking flights yesterday for my wife and son on December 31st which is 11 months in advance at best, and the calendar shows dates up to 12 months in advance for long haul, unless i am missing something this was my experience.
Ah, looks like they just changed the rules, the 10 months statement is no longer there. It now says "You can book your Award ticket with any SkyTeam member company up to 3 hours before departure for short- and medium-haul flights, and up to 24 hours before departure for long-haul flights." Yay!
