Just my two cents...

I live in HK and joined AccorPlus a few months ago for $2088 HKD for 1 night stay only. I think I will not renew after this year as I don't think I can take full advantage of it.

Yes to me it's pricey and I don't blame the sales staff but rather myself not doing enough homework. If you enjoy hotel dining I am sure you'd find the benefits worth your money.
