If you were coerced into signing the papers or they have changed the terms on you then it might not be legal. But if you signed up willingly and they have followed the terms you agreed to then it is legal.
Well certainly they cannot change the terms once it's signed unless they reserved that right in the agreement. But coerced? What do you mean? They made an offer OP couldn't refuse?
