Get Booking Reference Number / PNR from 13 digit ticket number?
I used my credit card's award booking service to book a BA ticket (Union Bank for what it's worth). The confirmation email from them had a 6 alphanumeric code that looked like a Booking Reference Number. I tried this on BA's Manage My Booking site and it does not work.
I tried calling UB customer service and they turned around and gave me a 13 digit ticket number that begins with 125-, so it seems legit.
I called BA to ask them for the booking reference number and even though they verified my date of birth and address they claimed the telephone numbers I gave them were not verifiable (who knows what UB puts on their system), so they would not be able to reveal this.
Rather than fight through the UB phone tree, I was wondering if there was a way to translate the ticket number into a Booking Reference Number.
And for what it's worth I deliberately did not provide them with a BAEC number when I booked as I wasn't sure where to credit the flight.
