Just to see how ludicrous and disorganized this whole thing is. Yesterday I was at Shoprite and unlike others here, I have no clue as to what terminals they use. The person before me on the queue bought $250 worth of groceries, paid with a credit card emv is operational, signed on the signature pad. Did the clerk even glance at the signature? Of course not. What difference does it make if they collect signatures or not? (Of course for purcheases under $50, there is no cvm).
