In fact, BA insiders have told us BA management knows they have to improve the cleanliness of planes and upgrade inflight offerings in CW. We know they wouldn't be doing if it wasn't an issue, so it really makes your assertion nonsense.



We also know sometimes people confuse their first-hand experiences as with your report during the first MF industrial action.

I was on this route a couple of months ago and thought the service was very solid. We were on the 767 and it definitely felt more spacious. Service included hot towels, menus, one round of drinks with a packet of nuts, a gap of about an hour, and then hot meals that had both cheese and a sweet dessert, finally coffee/tea. I seem to recall the fish dish was surprisingly tasty for airplane fish. CE on both routes was completely full, and cabin crew responded to call bells promptly as several people asked for additional drinks late into the flight and there were no apparent shortages even for our neighbors that asked for multiple champagnes.

If CE were always this consistent, I would feel it is worth the premium (especially when part paid by Avios like I did).
