I seem to recall the fish dish was surprisingly tasty for airplane fish. CE on both routes was completely full, and cabin crew responded to call bells promptly as several people asked for additional drinks late into the flight and there were no apparent shortages even for our neighbors that asked for multiple champagnes.

If CE were always this consistent, I would feel it is worth the premium (especially when part paid by Avios like I did).

This corresponds to my experience last year, going out on the 767 and back on an Airbus, can't remember what number it was. On both flights service was very good, the flight back to the UK was delayed because of a cockpit warning but we were kept informed throughout. Although I am 6 foot tall I find the seat pitch okay, better on the 767.
As said here this was the sort of service you expect on CE from BA.
