4. Set up pickup by the hotel.
Is this correct?
If it is, how much time will I need from landing at NOU to safely make departure from GEA?
Also how much time should I figure between leaving the hotel to get to NOU to catch a flight back to NZ.
Yah this is pretty much correct. I was there a few years ago so things may have changed... Here are some things I recall...
  • There was a shuttle we could pay for to take us in between airports. We had a lot of downtime at the domestic airport. It's not a very nice airport, and there wasn't much we could walk to. And at the time (a couple years back), WiFi wasn't working either. I imagine that has since been fixed!
  • Ile Des Pins is a pretty small island, and there isn't much on it. The Le Meridien is the biggest entity on the island, and there's a clear presence at the airport from the resort. If you have a reservation with them, you'll probably already be on their shuttle list. There aren't many flights in per day so just let them know. I seem to recall the hotel shuttle being free.
  • The drive was around an hour, I believe, between the two airports. You shouldn't need too much time at the domestic airport, but I would leave some extra time just in case.
