you are speculating on what you read into that statement. There is no language specific to your paranoia. If it had said On Delta Premium Select-equipped aircraft Global Upgrade Certificates can ONLY be upgraded to Delta One from Premium Select then I would agree with you.
#1 - I will agree with you if it say:
a) Diamond Medallion Members will be eligible to use Global Upgrade Certificates to upgrade from economy to Delta Premium Select OR Delta one,
b) On Delta Premium Select-equipped aircraft, Global Upgrade Certificates can still be used to upgrade from economy to Delta One.
#2 - You must admit the "words" use by Delta is not clear (or can be more clear).
#3 - You did not need to accuse people of "paranoia" to value your opinion, this way to express yourself only show you did not have enough valid argument (and use only by "pass/old" generation).
