I am trying to fly from SJC or OAK to CHC and want to have as stopover in HNL. As QF and FJ serve CHC on a one stop from HNL, I feel like this ought to work when using AS metal to reach the partner departure in HNL. Surely it is no less logical than flying SJC-SEA-LAX and then onward... However, the website errors out when trying to add an HNL stopover from any west coast city.

Does anyone know if HNL is a valid gateway/stopover point when connecting AS->QF or AS->FJ? Can a phone agent circumvent?
