I suggest you call back and ask if you could take advantage of the Infinite Adventura(which has FYF)....if you would qualify for the welcome points.They can do a product switch(no credit hit)

edit: if you do,make sure they agree to reverse the annual fee on the aeroplan card(which would have happened had you closed) and then apply another rebate for the adventura(their terms state no fyf if switched)
