I am a United Club member, as per rule, I am allowed to use any star alliance operated business lounge as long as I am travelling on any star alliance airlines with same day boarding pass.

I was traveling on air india AI172 (EWR-LHR-AMD), at LHR terminal 4 lounge, I was denied entry, reason the lady at front did not know anything about United Club membership and star alliance rule regarding club access, I showed the club membership documents regarding the clear rule but all in vein,
i asked her to talk to supervisor and ironically supervisor stuck with her decision that "we can't allow you to use our club with United Club membership"

also club employee and supervisor responses to me are in very unprofessional manner where they refused to accept any evidence those I brought physically with me and just go with their limited knowledge with policy.

as far as I know club access policy is clear regarding paid membership.
