I too am curious how detainees are routed back to their home. For example, there are obviously no U.S.-Yemen nonstop flights on United. The routings the refugees take are often quite circuitous. So my question is: are any of the likely connecting countries along the way stepping in and making temporary accommodations so people can disembark there (say, in a European country) instead of flying all the way back home?
