Stroller check-in handling is fairly routine.
It is usually up to pax to decide whether to check it in with bags or do a gate check-in (most commonly opted option). Latter allows use of stroller within airport at origin, transit and at destination. (The fact that probability of it getting crushed goes down drastically is an added plus with gate check-in)
When check-in at the gate (or more commonly at the door of the plane), manual tag has to be collected ensuring that it lists transit point. Then on getting off the plane, stroller is collected right at the door of the plane or at the end of the jetway. Same process can be repeated for the transit point to final destination leg.
