Putting your AS FF# on QF reservations won't get you any elite perks in flight, but you will get 125% bonus redeemable miles thanks to your 75K status. From running some flights in the great circle mapper, I can see that one DFW-SYD economy roundtrip and two SEA-LAX-SYD returns will net you enough miles to requalify for MVP Gold on their own (provided your SEA-LAX segments are on AS and not AA). Factor in the elite RDM bonus and that's almost enough for three economy trips to Europe or South America in the off-season.
