Since I moved to BKK, I've used Air Asia frequently. No problems to report, even on a BKK-PVG (in their "business" class.) They tend to run a little late, but never any cancellations, and we drop out of the sky at the right time and in the correct manner, so not sure who has had safety concerns. Not really crazy about them, but they are fine for the short flights, and great pricing with frequent schedule. PG is better, though my last PG flight was a prop job to REP. Also, I prefer to fly out of BKK rather than DMK. The PG lounges are nothing special, especially compared to other airline or CIP/Miracle lounges.

As with all things, it depends on what you like.
