Unfortunately not. You can use avios for flights, and you can use avios for hotels, but you can't yet use avios for BA Holidays flight+hotel deals.
It's possible BA may introduce this feature in future - they have been experimenting a lot with part payment options over the past couple of years - but it's not there as yet.
You do at least get a small amount of bonus avios for BA Holidays bookings, if that is worth factoring into your calculations.

Thanks for the reply. So it looks like 'luck of the draw'. Tried a search the other night and would have saved a few hundred pounds booking flights with avios, and hotel separate. But looking at Rome tonight the opposite would have been the case, i.e. more expensive using avios than booking flight + hotel through BA Holidays!
