I wouldn't complain, the TPs you got is a better win than any generic apology you might get. Club Europe is basically just how economy used to be... the LGW routes are especially bad, sometimes 12 full rows of leisure passengers where you don't even get a champagne! They call it an "appertif" and knowing not enough is loaded it's poured into the glass for you!

It's still better then euro traveller but I would never pay the prices they charge.

If you find yourself in the position where you are not offered extra drinks, I normally get up and walk to the front to ask for more rather than sit there waiting.

I think I was disappointed with BA a couple of years ago and now in general just expect the worst and are sometimes pleasantly surprised!
