Scrubs are more suitable to the kind of task they're performing all day long. The only people besides TSA who get to stick their hands between my legs and in my pants as part of their job are nurses and doctors, and they're all wearing scrubs or lab coats.
Hospital scrubs would suggest that they've had medical (or any) training. I suggest McDonald's uniforms.
