My friends tried the BA Price promise - they've booked their flights via ba.com and called up BA to say they've found the price on other website £50 cheaper per person. BA asked for a screenshot and url and then refunded the price difference promptly. I've seen myself a marginal price differences between OTAs and ba.com, but never been bothered to call for the price promise.
