So I took the boards advice and booked via Travelup. I needed to go to NY for 36hrs 8-10 Feb. As you'll imagine all the BA options were mouthwatering price wise. So in the end I booked two WT+ tickets. One was LHR/JFK//BOS/LHR with the return in September. The other JFK/LHR/BOS again returning in Sept. it cost about £1,400 total for both tickets in T class. And I have got a long weekend in Boston thrown in for late September. Always fancied New England in the fall... What really surprised me was getting this fare given that the JFK flight I am on on 10 Feb is already overbooked in WT+. That ticket was £750 via the agent vs. £2,130 on BA.com. Was tempted to book on BA and thereafter attempt to invoke the price promise, but if they refused to pay up...would have been an expensive mistake...
