It varies, depending on how each issuing bank reacts to recently filed applications and recently opened accounts in your record. Your best bet is to scan this forum-- and the Chase, Citi, and Amex forums-- for threads specific to the bank(s) you'd like to apply with and possibly even the card(s) you'd like to get.
