I need advice. I've got 140k SPG and was hoarding them for hotel stays on a RTW next year but with the ability to get the Southwest companion pass via Marriott TP expiring in March, I'm very tempted to transfer over 68k SP to Marriott for this purpose. That would get my MR balance up to points needed. I also have a 7 night stay already booked for July on MR so could use the TP cert for that.

I'd probably get about $1200 of value per year with the CP (so $2400 total) plus the 120k WN points of course.

Do you guys think it's worth it to use SP for this? I wonder if I'm over valuing my SP by even worrying that this would be a "waste". But I've been averaging about .05-.06 value on my SP. Used 22k to book $1340 rez for spring break.

FWIW, I could probably make back about half those SP in the coming year.
