Malarone , or the generic, has been advised. Can anyone reccomend a pharmacy in Bangkok and an aproximate price? Trying to decide whether to get it in London or wait till Bangkok.
Good responses so far. Don't know who "recommended" (interesting you use the passive so as not to say) but I would strongly suggest you check with a doc. I travel (monthly) into and around South Asia and Southeast Asia and never take one; my doc (teaching doc at Wash u. and published on malaria) suggested years ago not to. And I don't. And there are more nasty things borne by mosquitos here you don't want to get. Another problem is getting malerone IN Thailand: it'll be cheap enough; but if you've waited until you're here to start taking it, you might as well not
