If if you are following the tourist trail then you are very unlikely to come in contact with malaria.

Now dengue fever ever is a bigger concern but no tablets for that......
Not sure what medication you were prescribed or thought you would be prescribed. The new medications, or even an antibiotic, have very few, if any side effects.

Once you have seen someone in a hospital bed suffering from malaria it gives you a reason try for good prevention. This includes mosquito spray, deet wrist/ankle bands, being careful and antimalarials.

So if anyone else wanting to "educate" me about antimalarials can save their post.

Just trying to decide where to buy generic malarone, not whether to buy it.
