I hope I haven't missed this one somewhere amidst the many questions and comments posted here. Here's the situation:

I'm a 75K. When I've booked my reservations on PE equipped aircraft (or any others as the -900s are now in the process of being reconfigured) I've been able to pre-assign all of my seats in rows 6-9. The PNR then shows two boxes automatically ticked indicating desire to be upgraded to both PE and First. On a couple of early reservations I ignored those boxes and then about two weeks prior to my flight I received notification from Alaska that I had just been upgraded to PE. Even though I was already sat there.

I now untick the box for PE upgrade as I'm already sat there, hopefully indicating that I only want an upgrade to First Class.

Here's the question: As a 75K, is this even necessary?

With some of the early glitches associated with the implementation of two different classes of upgrades, I can't help but wonder... By leaving both boxes ticked, am I risking getting only an upgrade to PE?
