Just call BA and tell them to change it. As someone said up thread there is a fee, but it's small.
Qantas domestic business class is very good. Great food (even on flights marked "refreshment"), good service and proper seating. It's also very expensive indeed, so using Avios is the way to go.
I just spent the equivalent of $330 on 3 flights on Qantas domestic business class along with 15,000 Avios. The flights price up in business class at $2162 (£1,300!) so it's a very very good use of Avios. There's also plenty of availability too.
