First flight in PC last night HNL-ANC...lots of empty middle seats but the section definitely filled up at checkin compared to the MVP/G upgrade windows. Had to call at 72 hours to get moved to PC without a fee, so I'm guessing they didn't release the seats for elites (without charging) until the 24 window. Would be nice if that can be fixed.
Product was as expected with three rounds of service. Interestingly, the gentleman in the window seat was told they would only serve him two beverages total when he asked for two crowns and a coke. They never denied him the two crowns and he ended up ordering water to go with it. This repeated all three carts. Not sure why they would refuse the "mixer" for his many whiskeys.
According to Missy, if PC seats are available when you reach your upgrade window, you should be able to log in and select a PC seat, but multiple people have reported the system trying to charge...is this just a programming error or how it's really suppose to work. My guess is that all available PC seats become available to all elites (without a phone call) at T-24 during OLCI.
