I know. My son was due to depart AKL to DUD at 1650, and his SYD-AKL flight (QF143) was delayed by 45 mins.

Given his flexiPlus fare, I was tempted to put him on the 1800 AKL-CHC-DUD (latest option), and if he was processed swiftly, then move him back to the 1650 flight. Missing the flight and no later alternatives would have become expensive for me! He was relaxed about it all....

I noted that the 1800 flight was at Y3, then Y2, then Y0 between 1500 and 1530, so the option disappeared as we were messaging each other!

In the end, all worked out well with no delays at arrivals processing.
