Only because this was a fact finding mission for this thread (and myself

Opinion: not to the standard of a good restaurant - but better than most J-lounges in the world. exCMB, I pretty much always have a meal in the lounge and sleep through the flight - so definitely acceptable. As a comparable, I'd pick what Serendib has, over the SQ lounges in SIN - just the food bit.
Just don't expect non-South Asian food to be 'authentic' - Like the Chinese food - much closer to American Chinese than Chinese Chinese. The roast has always been decent.

Ah one more thing - They didn't push back on entry to Serendib/suggest the other-oneworld airline's designated lounge this time. Maybe they recognize me for the multiple visits over the last year, but this one was after a few months..just a 'Welcome sir, could I take your bp, will get it back after making a copy'...perhaps they're just starting to realize the revenue potential.
